Financial Wellness Proactively maintaining and improving one's financial condition and balance.
Financing New funds borrowed from an outside party such as a bank, individual or other lending institution.
Fixed Costs Business costs which basically remain the same every month regardless of the amount of sales you make. Typically costs such as rent, phones, utilities, etc. are categorized as fixed costs since they do not fluctuate based on sales.
Franchising A relationship in which a company (known as the franchisor) provides assistance to individual business owners (known as the franchisee) in organizing, site selection, hiring and training, merchandising, bookkeeping, advertising & marketing, and managing individual businesses in return for a franchise fee. Dunkin Donuts, Wendy's and MerryMaids are examples of franchises.
Freelancer A person who does a job, or jobs, on an as needed basis without making a long-term commitment to any one employer. This person usually lives and works in the same place.
